  • Coordinated with nation-wide volunteers and staff to direct the largest national youth-run environmental nonprofit in U.S.
  • Developed first ‘co-sponsored’ fundraising model with local Sierra Club chapters for Summer Environmental Leadership Training Program (SPROG)
  • Represented SSC at national democratic body meeting of all Sierra Club Chapters, voting on organization-wide policy changes

Summer Program Environmental Leadership Trainer, January 2009 – August 2011

  • Collaborated with students in the southeast U.S. to plan and host week-long environmental leadership and grassroots organizing training
  • Delivered trainings to 30-40 high school and college youth on leadership development 101, 201, and 301, storytelling for social change, coalition building and recruitment, meeting with decision makers, and organizational development
  • Teleconferenced with distant fellow trainers to design trainings, fundraise, plan logistics, and drive participant recruitment

United Nations COP16 Youth Delegate, September 2010 – December 2010

  • Served as youth delegate to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change COP16 Climate Conference in Cancun, Mexico
  • Worked as media coordinator and photographer for delegation, earning media hits on stories from the AP, Guardian UK, BBC, and many other international media outlets
  • Coordinated with international youth delegations for joint actions, workshops, and meetings

  • Founded and led youth-led state network for environmental organizations at universities and high schools in Louisiana
  • Fundraised $1500+ and coordinated logistics to bring 100 Louisiana college and high school youth from 8 campuses to Power Shift ’11, a national environmental leadership and clean energy conference in Washington D.C.
  • Coordinated state-wide resource and leadership training retreats for students across Louisiana

Environmental Conservation Organization (ECO) at LSU

  • Coordinated student energy conservation campaigns, including the Unplug Res Hall Energy Competition, which Won Louisiana Dept. of Environmental Quality’s Environmental Leadership Award and saved LSU approx. $25,000 in energy costs over two years via educating residents on habitual changes to save energy
  • Facilitated multiple teams to organize the 4th and 5th Annual LSU Earth Day Festival:  Organize festival with over 25 organizations, businesses, and non-profits with musical entertainment
